It is TEEPACK’s aim to continuously improve processes to make its machines as efficient as possible. They have recently finalized a project that helps to reduce compressed air consumption of the vertical form, fill and seal machine ZENOBIA. The compressors generating compressed air consume 69% of the total production energy on average. The new cost-saving alternative: using vacuum pumps. So far retracting belts have shown to be the main application area. Rather than generating a vacuum with compressed air, the vacuum pump takes over, making the compressor obsolete. This helps to significantly reduce the consumption of compressed air while packaging loose tea or PREMIUM BAGs. This will sustainably save energy costs in production.
